John Cena will go on his retirement tour in 2025, and WWE WrestleMania 41 will mark his last time competing at WWE’s biggest show. According to a new report, WWE is considering a major match for Cena.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there is “strong talk” about John Cena potentially challenging for a world title, possibly at WWE WrestleMania 41. In doing so, he would aim to break Ric Flair’s world title record.
Cena and Flair are currently tied at 16 recognized world title reigns. Cena last won a world title in 2017. He is expected to appear on WWE RAW’s premiere on Netflix in January. Specific details about his retirement tour currently remain unclear.
Cena promoted WWE WrestleMania 41 going on sale and noted that his final WrestleMania match would be there.
