It doesn’t sound like we’ll see the Young Bucks back on All Elite Wrestling TV anytime soon.
Wednesday night on Dynamite, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson dropped the AEW World Tag Team Titles to Private Party. Following the match, a storyline played out where the Young Bucks said they were leaving and would be working from home.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider recently reported that the Young Bucks are set to spend time away from TV. Their loss to Private Party ends their current storyline, and the duo are “not planned to return to TV for some time.”
“*Yes, last night was the end of the current Young Bucks storyline. We are told they are not planned to return to TV for some time. *NO, they are not done with the company. They signed a new AEW deal awhile back, which was announced publicly at the time.” Mike Johnson reported about the Young Bucks.
Given recent health reports, it makes sense why the pair need a break. Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com also reported that Nicholas Jackson has been working with a separate shoulder. The injury has been bothering him “for some time.” The time off may be for him to get back to 100% before the Young Bucks return.
When will the Young Bucks return to the ring?
The team is not scheduled to work the Full Gear pay-per-view later this month. While there’s no timetable for their return, it’s said to be no later than January, due to the team being scheduled for the joint AEW x NJPW pay-per-view in Japan that month.
On behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish Nicholas Jackson a quick and painless recovery.
