Private Party Wins AEW Tag Team Titles At AEW Fright Night Dynamite

Private Party has won the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

In recent weeks, Private Party has targeted the titles. They unsuccessfully challenged the Young Bucks for the titles at AEW WrestleDream, but the Young Bucks agreed to a rematch at AEW Fright Night Dynamite. If Private Party lost, they would have had to split up. Instead, they overcame interference by Kazuchika Okada and scored the win to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship. This marked their first title win in AEW.

Here’s how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play:

The Young Bucks maintain the advantage. Kassidy tags in and clears house with a flurry of offense. Private Party keeps rolling with a flurry of offense. The Young Bucks take control again, but Private Party rallies. The Young Bucks squash their rally and drag Quen to the stage. Kazuchika Okada shows up and huts Quen with a Tombstone on the stage. The Young Bucks hit Kassidy with a cutter. The Bucks kick Kassidy and get a two-count. Kassidy counters the EVO Trigger and gets a two-count with a roll-up. He rolls Matthew up again. The Bucks hit the EVP Trigger for a two-count.

Matthew hits a V-Trigger and a One-Winged Angel, but Quen breaks it up. Quen breaks up the TK Driver. Private Party hits the Gin and Juice to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

The Young Bucks previously won the AEW World Tag Team Championship by beating FTR at AEW Dynasty.
