Bubba Ray Dudley and NXT Champion Trick Williams will team up at NXT’s 2300 Arena show.
WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley made the save for Trick Williams at NXT Halloween Havoc, as Ethan Page and Ridge Holland started to gang up on him after he beat Ethan to retain the title.
On the October 29 episode of WWE NXT, Williams asked Ray to come to the ring, and he answered. Williams thanked him, but Ray said he was doing the right thing. He noted that it was about Ridge Holland disrespecting him. He highlighted Williams’ win and wondered why nobody helped Trick when he was being attacked. Ray said that the NXT Championship was a target on his back, and he advised him to have eyes in the back of his head.
Williams made it clear that he wanted revenge, and he knew that Ray did too. He told Ray that he wanted to team up with Ray to face Ethan Page and Ridge Holland at NXT’s 2300 Arena show on November 6. Ray expressed his excitement about possibly going to the extreme. He said that it’s not about him, as it was about Trick and everyone in the locker room. Ray said that he could not take their spot, so he had to say no.
Bubba Ray Dudley Confronts Ridge Holland
Later in the show, Bubba Ray Dudley came to the ring again. He interrupted Ridge Holland and initially praised Ridge’s background before he noted that Holland disrespected him. Ray said that he did not deal well with disrespect. He highlighted his own background, and he also took a shot at Ethan Page, saying that he deserved nothing. Ray told Holland that he would have to show the fans more if he ever wanted to get a shot at the NXT Championship.
Holland fired back by saying that nobody cared what Ray thought anymore, and he should focus on being a radio host. He threatened to send Ray to the hospital. Ray dropped Holland with a cheap shot. Page and Holland ganged up on him, but Trick Williams made the save. Ray then changed his mind and accepted Williams’ offer to face Holland and Page at the 2300 Arena.
