Vince McMahon is reportedly getting ready to launch a new company.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider of PWInsider reports that former WWE chairman Vince McMahon has been setting up what has been described as an “entertainment hub company,” which would financially back, develop, and produce movies and television productions. Per Johnson, sources believe that there are no plans for this company to launch “anything similar to WWE”. Instead, it would focus on fiction and non-fiction projects.
Former WWE Names Involved In Project
Johnson also writes that former WWE employees are already working with Vince McMahon to get the company ready. The idea is to officially unveil the company if/when his legal issues are resolved.
Former WWE Chief Operating Officer Brad Blum is confirmed to be working on the project. Blum has been described as a “McMahon loyalist” for years. He resigned in May following McMahon’s WWE departure in January.
Johnson also writes that Kristen Prouty, who had been WWE’s Hollywood liaison before she was released earlier in 2024, is also involved. She previously worked as the Casting Director for WWE’s original Diva Search. Prouty became WWE’s Senior Vice President of Entertainment Relations.
Vince McMahon resigned from WWE and TKO in January after Jamel Grant filed a lawsuit against him, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, alleging sexual assault and sex trafficking. McMahon denied the allegations, but he remains under federal investigation. He was also named in the lawsuit filed by former WWF ring boys who alleged that they were sexually abused during their time in the company.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
