A new report provides an update on Goldberg‘s status for WWE Crown Jewel.
Goldberg appeared at WWE Bad Blood on October 5, and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther cut a promo on him. Security had to hold Goldberg back as he jumped the barricade, teasing a potential match between the two. In recent weeks, fans have buzzed about Goldberg possibly confronting Gunther at WWE Crown Jewel.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Goldberg is not slated to be in Saudi Arabia for WWE Crown Jewel. Johnson writes that the apparent storyline with Gunther and Goldberg is not set to be furthered at WWE Crown Jewel, at least with an in-person appearance by the Hall of Famer.
As of this writing, there is no word on if or when Goldberg will return to WWE programming. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
Triple H On Goldberg
Following Goldberg’s appearance at WWE Bad Blood, Triple H was asked about his future at the post-show press conference. He noted that he “would never say never” about the legend’s in-ring return.
“I can tell you, as you said, Atlanta loves Bill Goldberg, and that’s why he was here tonight,” Triple H said. “He was with his wife and his son, always gonna get a huge reaction here. You know, things get said. I can tell you that Bill came back, he was not too happy with Gunther, and we’ll see. The further you go, time catches up with all of us, and so the further you go, those talks get further and further away from reality.
“But I don’t know. I saw Bill earlier in the day, and it was great. I saw Bill later in the day, and there was a different look on his face with a spark in his eye, so I would say never say never.”
