The War Raiders have earned a shot at the gold. They won the finals of the World Tag Team Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament on WWE RAW.
On the October 28 episode of WWE RAW, the War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) defeated the LWO (Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio) and the New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) in the tournament finals. In doing so, they earned a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Championship. The titles are currently held by The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & JD McDonagh).
In the closing minutes of the match, Chad Gable interfered and attacked Rey Mysterio, effectively removing him from the match. Xavier Woods took himself out with a dive onto Dragon Lee at ringside, leaving Kofi Kingston by himself. The War Raiders capitalized and pinned Kingston for the win.
Before their return on October 14, the War Raiders had both been sidelined for months; Erik had been out of action since September 2023 due to a neck injury, while Ivar had been out since April.
