Seth Rollins‘ relationship with the Chicago Bears is a love/hate affair. He loves football when the Bears do well, and hates it when the Bears lose. It makes sense.
What doesn’t make sense, however, is just how the Bears lost their latest game on Sunday to the Washington Commanders. The Bears looked to have a win locked up when the Commanders ran a “Hail Mary” play… and scored to win the game.
Seth Rollins was inside the stadium and a fan caught him celebrating before the play… and after the Commanders’ unlikely touchdown was confirmed.
Seth Rollins later reacted to the play on Twitter — he still hates football.
The “Hail Mary” play was impressive enough, but how it happened this time was unreal. As many people who saw the play, including Pat McAfee pointed out, even Bears defender Tyrique Stevenson was celebrating early over the perceived win. Stevenson then ran over to where the ball was thrown and was responsible for the tipped ball getting caught by the Commanders.
Stevenson apologized for his lack of focus after the game. The Washington Commanders Twitter account also thanked Seth Rollins for coming to the game, in hilarious fashion.
