Bully Ray explained why he got involved after the main event of NXT last night.
The WWE Hall of Famer got in the ring at the end of NXT Halloween Havoc. After Trick Williams beat Ethan Page, Page was joined by Ridge Holland as he attacked Williams.
However, Bully Ray ran in to make the save, standing tall alongside Trick Williams. Additionally, he took to his Twittah machine after the show to explain why he got into the ring. He also fired off a warning for Ridge Holland.
Bully Ray on Halloween Havoc
“Shawn Michaels came on Busted Open a week ago. He was nice enough to invite us here to Halloween Havoc. To be a part of this. He gave Busted Open even more of a platform than we have already, put us on the preshow, put us on the live show. They let us do whatever wanted,” Bully Ray said.
“Ridge Holland tried to make a name for himself at our expense tonight. I understand the first time. Here’s an opportunity to get the world to see me if they didn’t know me. They already know who Ridge Holland is. So he did what he had to do. I let that slide. The second time? Too much. Too much. That’s our time. Like I told – you did it once, you did it twice, don’t let it happen again.”
“End of the night. You saw that. Ridge decides to hit the ring. Him and Ethan [Page] start ganging up on Trick [Williams]. I could have sworn that maybe Booker T, or somebody ringside, would have tried to at least help Trick. While there were fans all around saying ‘Bubba, please help him out!’. What am I supposed to do? So, tonight, enough was enough. Ridge. I’m not hard to find.”
It seems likely that this will set up for a match between Ridge Holland vs Bully Ray. Alternatively, it could also be a tag team match featuring all four men. It will likely be at the November 6th episode of the show, at the old ECW Arena.
WWE has not confirmed any of those plans, but it was revealed that former ECW/WWE star Dawn Marie will be involved in the November 6 taping.
