Tony D’Angelo defended the NXT North American Championship against Oba Femi at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.
At NXT Halloween Havoc, Tony D’Angelo put the title on the line against Oba Femi in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares Match. D’Angelo previously beat Femi to win the title on the October 8 episode of NXT after unsuccessfully challenging for the gold at NXT No Mercy.
Femi and D’Angelo battled back and forth in a hard-fought match. In the closing minutes, Femi tied D’Angelo to the turnbuckle with a zip-tie. Luca Crusifino and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo interfered, but Femi fought them off. Adriana Rizzo checked on D’Angelo, but Femi confronted her. D’Angelo broke free and hit Femi with a Spear off the apron, putting him through a ladder. Femi fired back with a lariat and powerbombed D’Angelo for a two-count.
Rizzo blindsided Femi with a crowbar. Crusifino and “Stacks” hit Femi with a Sjatter Machine, and D’Angelo hit Femi with a spinebuster through a table for the win.
