Cody Rhodes looks forward to WWE WrestleMania 41.
Rhodes finished the story when he dethroned Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 40. On the road to WrestleMania, he feuded with The Rock, and there were multiple teases of a potential match between the two. On the April 8 episode of WWE RAW, The Rock told Rhodes that he would be coming back for him. The Rock then returned at WWE Bad Blood, where he stared down Rhodes and Reigns.
Cody Rhodes commented on potentially facing The Rock, as he was asked about a rumored three-way with him and Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 41 while speaking with Dayna Roselli on Vegas Revealed. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful)
“There are so many rumors circulating,” he said. “It eats up the social feed, all the different rumors of what the matches might be. The hardest thing to do in WWE, sports entertainment, and pro wrestling in general is not to win [the WWE Title], the hardest thing to do is main event WrestleMania. I don’t care what the rumor is, as long as the rumor is I’m in the main event of WrestleMania. I’m good with it.”
Cody Rhodes Teases Unexpected Main Event
Rhodes continued by teasing that those who “keep an eye”on that rumor may find that they were not expecting what they will get at WrestleMania 41.
“What I can say for those who keep an eye on the rumor, I bet you what they get at WrestleMania 41 is unexpected even to them. Even the people who follow this, the diehards who feel like they have their finger on the pulse, this one is going to be tough. This one is going to be unexpected, is the best way to put it, but in the best of ways.”
Cody Rhodes is set to appear on the October 25 episode of WWE SmackDown. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
