Rumors of a new AEW show called AEW Shockwave being announced have been floating around for a few weeks. According to a new report, the company is still shopping around for a home for it.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select), the company is still looking to find a place to host the show, especially with AEW Rampage no longer on the slate for 2025. The report mentions that AEW is continuing to explore possibilities for additional content following their new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery.
News of a brand new AEW show first popped up earlier this year. As of now, the heavily rumored landing point for the show, per Sapp, is FOX. However, no deal is official as of yet.
Sapp also writes that the current slate of shows planned for 2025 includes AEW Dynamite, AEW Collision, and Ring of Honor TV. This would mean that AEW Rampage and AEW Battle of the Belts are not currently in the plans for 2025.
