Private Party will challenge for the gold at AEW Fright Night Dynamite, and if they lose, they will split up.
In recent weeks, Private Party has been feuding with AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks. On the October 4 episode of AEW Rampage, they teamed up with Kasuyori Shibata to beat the Young Bucks and Jack Perry. The Young Bucks then defeated Private Party to retain the titles at AEW WrestleDream.
On the October 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, Private Party and Daniel Garcia beat Perry and the Young Bucks. After the match, Isiah Kassidy challenged the champions to a title match and said that if they lost, Private Party would split up. The Young Bucks accepted the challenge, and Kassidy named AEW Fright Night Dynamite as the place.
Tony Khan then confirmed that the match was official.
