A few weeks after returning to the world of All Elite Wrestling, Adam Cole will make his official in-ring return next week on AEW’s special Fright Night Dynamite episode.
During Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Cole was challenged to a match by Buddy Matthews following a win by House of Black. In a backstage segment, Cole addressed the challenge to Matthews directly, asking if Buddy had a problem with him. Matthews said that he just wants to prove one simple thing, and it’s that Cole is fragile.
For Cole, it’ll be his first match officially back in the ring since he suffered a broken ankle during a match at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in 2023.
Elsewhere in the night, Jamie Hayter challenged Penelope Ford to a match that will take place on Fright Night Dynamite, and will join the previously announced matches that include Swerve Strickland going at it against Shelton Benjamin, and Kris Statlander taking on Kamille.
