Xavier Woods has taken to social media to explain some of his recent actions over the past few weeks, including his growing frustrations with his longtime partner Kofi Kingston.
In a new video taken while rollerblading through a walking path, Woods addressed a litany of issues fans have taken with him recently. Woods touched on his match with Rey Mysterio weeks ago, where he countered an inverted DDT and inadvertently took off Mysterio’s mask in the process. According to Woods, his main goal is to win, so he pinned Mysterio and won.
Later, Woods recounted his match against Jey Uso, and once again defended his mentality for not wanting to help Uso alongside Kofi Kingston, even though he ended up doing so and getting involved with Bron Breakker in the process. Woods also touched on a match the pair were in last week, in a contender’s tournament for the WWE World Tag Team Championships. Woods tried to explain why he was fine leaving R-Truth alone in the ring with Karrion Kross, The Miz, and AOP.
According to Woods, all these moments have led to fans being mad at him, and he doesn’t understand why. Woods said that his main goal is to protect himself and Kofi as they continue to go after the tag titles, and he said he doesn’t get why people think this is a bad thing.
Next week, the New Day will compete in the finals of the WWE World Tag Team Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament.
