Adam Cole‘s return to AEW earlier this month continued his long-running story with MJF.
All Elite Wrestling‘s Adam Cole recently sat down with Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated. When asked about returning to his rivalry with MJF upon his return to the company, Cole said acknowledging the storyline upon his return was incredibly important.
“I’m sure there were a bunch of different thought processes or ideas as far as where Adam Cole was gonna go. I do feel like that, at least for a little bit, acknowledging the feud, the storyline that we are in, I feel like that’s incredibly important going forward. Now, what happens after that? I don’t know, but I certainly think that going that route was the right direction,” Adam Cole said.
Will The Undisputed Kingdom be involved?
While Cole’s faction, The Undisputed Kingdom, wants to be involved, he isn’t certain that’s what he wants.
“I know that Roddy, Mike, and Matt have been very insistent on wanting to be involved. I don’t know if I want them involved or not,” Cole said. “Time will tell. But right now, I feel like leaving them out of the situation is incredibly important for me and my closure with Max.”
While The Undisputed Kingdom are currently heels, it will be interesting to see how things progress in the coming weeks.
