Samantha Irvin was not released from WWE; instead, she resigned.
On October 21, WWE RAW ring announcer Samantha Irvin posted a statement on social media in which she announced that she was leaving WWE. The circumstances of her departure were unclear.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider later reported that Samantha Irvin had resigned from her position, per multiple sources in the company. He wrote that Irvin “quit” the company, and WWE was informed earlier in the day on Monday. The report notes that the reasoning for Irvin’s exit had not been confirmed.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also reported that Irvin resigned from her position, per those in WWE.
Irvin has been linked to AEW, given Ricochet, her fiance, joined the company recently. He made his debut at AEW All In in August. However, Ricochet wrote that Irvin would not be going to AEW following her WWE departure.
Lilian Garcia returned as the WWE RAW ring announcer on October 21, hours after Irvin’s announcement.
