One of the feuds that has become very heated is the one between Chris Jericho and Ring of Honor World Champion Mark Briscoe. The two are set to go to war in a Ladder Match this Wednesday. Ahead of their match, Briscoe sent a final message to his opponent.
So far, Jericho and Briscoe have wrestled each other on three different occasions. Two of the three matches were tag team matches. The first one was an eight-person tag team match while the other was in a Trios Match. The only singles match the two had was at AEW WrestleDream for the Ring of Honor World Championship.
After Briscoe retained the title, backstage, Jericho had some harsh words for the champion and also mentioned the Late Jay Briscoe. This did not sit well with Mark Briscoe who went on to challenge The Learning Tree to a Ladder Match. Briscoe also put his ROH World Title on the line once more.
“It all started when this disingenuous prick hit me in the head with a baseball bat. I whooped his f***ing a** as promised. Now he done took it too far and don’t know when to quit… CONTINUALLY disrespecting my family by letting my brother’s name come out his dirty a** mouth on some insincere sh*t… Wednesday night it’s over for you Jericho,” Mark Briscoe tweeted.
Mark Briscoe has competed in a Ladder War match four different times, all of them tag team matches. His last one was in 2019, where he and his brother, Jay, defeated The Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) at ROH Summer Supercard.
Can Mark Briscoe retain his title once again?
