Dominik Mysterio will face a former World Heavyweight Champion on the October 28 episode of WWE RAW.
Adam Pearce booked the match in a backstage segment on the October 21 episode after Carlito tried to make Mysterio’s case as the next challenger for Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship. Pearce said that if Mysterio could beat a former World Heavyweight Champion, he would consider putting him in the Number One Contender’s Match.
WWE also announced that Sheamus will face Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match.
The updated card is as follows:
- World Tag Team Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament Finals: War Raiders vs. The New Day vs. LWO
- Dominik Mysterio vs. A Former World Heavyweight Champion
- Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser
