Motor City Machine Guns Officially Sign With WWE, To Debut On WWE SmackDown

The Motor City Machine Guns have officially signed with WWE.

In a tweet, WWE confirmed that the Motor City Machine Guns had signed with WWE SmackDown, and they would debut on Friday’s show. They will face Los Garza and A-Town Down Under in a Triple Threat Match.

Sabin and Shelley had multiple stints with TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. They both held the world title, and they are two-time TNA Tag Team Champions. Sabin is an 11-time X-Division Champion, and Shelley won the title as well. They have also won titles in ROH, NJPW, and GCW, among other promotions. The duo wrapped up with TNA in March, as their contracts expired on April 1. Their WWE arrival had been teased in “Coming Soon” vignettes in recent weeks.

Update: The Motor City Machine Guns later scored the win in their debut. In doing so, they advanced to a Number One Contenders Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship against #DIY on the October 25 episode of SmackDown.
