Chris Jericho: I’d Like To Think I Was Part Of The Grassroots Movement For ‘Terrifier’ Franchise

Chris Jericho discusses his involvement in the Terrifier franchise.

Terrifier 3, the third movie about Art The Clown, is now in theaters. Chris Jericho has a role in the film. He briefly appeared in Terrifier 2 as well.

Speaking with JoBlo Celebrity Interviews, Chris Jericho was asked about how he got involved in the Terrifier franchise.

“I was a big fan of the first movie,” Jericho said. “We discovered it on the Fozzy tour bus, and I was the first person that I knew was talking about it. So I was going on ‘Talk Is Jericho’, my podcast, and letting everybody know about this movie that you have to see. Then I did a comic con where David [Howard Thornton] was there, and he was on ‘Talk Is Jericho.’ That’s kind of how it all started. I was like, ‘You guys gotta watch this movie. ‘Terrifier’ this, ‘Terrifier’ that.’

“I’d like to think that I was part of the grassroots movement to turn people onto this film. Then once it became a talked-about cult hit, when Damien [Leone] started talking about doing part two, he asked me if I wanted to be involved, and I was like, ‘Of course. Just tell me what time and what mental institution in Staten Island I have to be at.’”

Chris Jericho On Having A Bigger Role In ‘Terrifier 3’

Jericho was also asked about having a role in two Terrifier films. He noted that the ending to the second movie had to be changed.

“Part Two originally had a different ending that we had to change, so had we not had to do that, I might not have been in Part Three,” Jericho said. “So I’m kind of one of the rare characters that appears in two ‘Terrifier’ films because like you said, most people don’t last too long in these movies.”
