Jai Vidal‘s time with TNA has come to an end.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Jai Vidal has entered free agency, as he was granted his release after he asked for it.
Vidal previously signed a multi-year deal with TNA in late 2022. There is no word on how much time was left on the deal. Vidal last wrestled for TNA at their tapings on August 3. He has since competed at multiple shows on the independent scene. Overall, Vidal had only wrestled four matches in TNA in 2024.
Sapp cites TNA sources who claimed that Vidal was frustrated around the creative process, among other things. At the time of his signing, Vidal got recognition for being the first openly gay wrestler in TNA. Per Sapp, he told people in the company that he felt like him stressing the importance of representation was not reciprocated.
Vidal then confirmed the news with a statement on Twitter.
