Shelton Benjamin has officially signed with AEW.
In a tweet on October 16, Tony Khan confirmed that Shelton Benjamin had signed with All Elite Wrestling. Khan wrote that Benjamin had an “amazing” in-ring debut on the October 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he beat Lio Rush.
Benjamin made his AEW debut on the October 2 episode of AEW Dynamite and aligned with MVP. He is set to face Swerve Strickland at AEW Froght Night Dynamite on October 30.
Benjamin, 49, signed with WWE in 2000 and had multiple runs with the company. He has won the WWE United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship, and he has also held the tag team titles multiple times.
