Private Party Is Tired Of Being Overlooked: ‘It’s Time To Shake Things Up A Bit’

Private Party is going to show everyone they’ve got that dog in them.

All Elite Wrestling‘s Private Party recently spoke with recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about showing a more aggressive side on AEW TV in recent weeks. Pritchard asked Isiah Kassidy if having Jon Moxley breaking his hand with a hammer was as a catalyst for this new attitude.

Zay agreed and said Moxley hurt him in front of his family, and the only choice he has is to get mad. He says he’s frustrated, and it’s time to turn things around.

“I mean, yeah. It’s a real-life situation. Somebody takes advantage of you. The odds are not even. It was three against four,” Zay explained. “And they took my hand, broke my hand right before New York. I had my family there. And then on top of that, it was for the Trios Championship. I had it in my mind, ‘Oh it’s going to be a great match. And I’m going to do my best to win.’ Because my family is there. I want to make them proud.

“You got Jon Moxley coming out of nowhere beating us up and then decides to try and take out my hand. Right before the biggest match of my life at the time. And that touches home. Now it’s personal,” he continued. “You have no choice but to be angry. No choice but to be mad. Now, I’m gonna beat your ass. And I don’t care what happens. If I lose, whatever, if I lose the fight, if I get bloodied up, but I’mma show you that I got that dog in me. All right? And no matter what happens, I’mma do my best to whip your ass.”

It’s time for a new Private Party

Zay then pointed out how he ended up getting a bit of revenge on Moxley, noting he “rocked him twice.” He also noted how you could still sense his frustration in promos, but it’s time to turn things around.

“Fast forward a couple of days later, that Saturday at Grand Slam Collision, we lost. And I was just frustrated. And if you see the promo, you could hear the frustration in me. It’s like, ‘All right. I feel like, it’s time. It’s time. And I’m tired of losing.’ And like I said, I’m tired of losing,” Zay said. “I’m tired of being overlooked. It’s time to shake things up a bit.”

Pritchard then asked how his hand was. Zay estimated that he had about two more weeks until he could remove his brace, but his hand was “all right.”

Private Party was unsuccessful in their bid to win the titles from the Young Bucks at AEW WrestleDream. They will get another shot at the Bucks on Wednesday’s “Fright Night” episode of Dynamite. This match has a major stipulation attached, however, as Private Party must split up if they do not win the match.
