GHC Heavyweight Champion Kaito Kiyomiya is looking forward to finding out his next challenger at NOAH’s November 6 Korakuen Hall show.
Kaito Kiyomiya successfully defended his GHC Heavyweight Championship against Masa Kitamiya at NOAH’s Star Navigation Premium event on October 14. After the match, one-half of the GHC Tag Team Champions Takashi Sugiura confronted him in-ring. He began by congratulating Kaito Kiyomiya on his spectacular main event performance.
Then, Sugiura proceeded to challenge him for the belt at Akitoshi Saito’s retirement show Deathtiny on November 17th. Sugiura says that Saito was one of his mentors, and he would love to honor him by winning the belt at his retirement show.
His fellow tag champion, Naomichi Marufuji, then entered the ring following his challenge. Marufuji also took interest in challenging for the GHC Heavyweight Championship. So, he offered to face Sugiura for the opportunity. Kaito Kiyomiya agreed to the proposal and looked forward to knowing his next challenger. The GHC Tag Team Champions then shook hands to make their singles match official.
Per Pro Wrestling NOAH, Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura’s singles match will take place at Korakuen Hall on November 6. The winner of that match will then move on to challenge for Kaito Kiyomiya’s GHC Heavyweight Championship at the Saito Akitoshi Retirement Memorial Deathtiny event on November 17. The show will emanate live on Wrestle Universe from the Aichi Dolphins Arena in Nagoya.
