Joe Hendry Is Coming For The Christmas No. 1 Spot

Joe Hendry wants to do something even bigger at Christmas.

The Scottish star became an internet sensation this year. As well as appearing in TNA and NXT, his theme song managed to rank at number on the UK Official Big Top 40 charts.

He could walk out of Bound for Glory as the TNA Champion, as Joe Hendry takes on Nic Nemeth in the main event of the show. However, he could ultimately do one better at Christmas, with the release of a brand-new song.

On Twitter, Joe Hendry posted a video promoting his next big idea. The TNA star revealed he had plans to release his next hit singles, with the goal of becoming the Christmas number one single. The Christmas charts have been dominated by YouTube star LadBaby in recent years. Hendry has called on his fans to help get his song to the top of the charts, on the last Sunday before Christmas Day.

“Joe Hendry needs you, again.” The Scottish TNA star told his Twitter followers. “That’s because it’s nearly time to release the next big hit single. This year, we got number four on the UK’s big top forty chart.”

“But we don’t just want number four. We don’t want number one. We want Christmas number one. And why don’t we raise some money for some amazing charities at the same time? If you believe in that idea, like, share and let everyone know. Details of the release will be coming very soon.” Joe Hendry added.

Joe Hendry on Sycho Sid

Joe Hendry recently shared how he got into bodybuilding during an interview with Inside The Ropes. Hendry said he also used Sycho Sid as motivation to improve his repertoire.

“I got super into weightlifting programmes, powerlifting, and bodybuilding. I bulked up to 265 pounds and I would work out for two hours every day because I bought all the gym equipment. That’s all I was doing, just working out. In the background I was watching old WWF stuff that I’d never seen before.”

“I was watching the rise of Sycho Sid. And I thought this guy kicks a**. I thought I’m just going to be Sid if he was in the modern era, with the Joe Hendry character. I took a little bit of that influence with my move set, doing more power stuff. That influence in-ring has brought me to where I am today,” Joe Hendry said.
