The War Raiders have returned, donning a new name and also winning their first match in a newly announced tournament for a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Championships.
During tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, Erik and Ivar made their return to the ring, under a brand new name. The pair hadn’t been seen together since last year, in a match in September, after which Erik remained out of action due to a neck fusion surgery. For Ivar specifically, it was also his first match in a WWE ring since April, after also suffering a neck injury during an NXT episode.
The pair took down Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa and Otis in a match that was the beginning of a newly announced WWE World Tag Team Championship Tournament. The tournament, as its name suggests, will see teams competing for a shot at the belts, which are currently held by The Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh and Finn Bálor. Currently, no other information about the tournament, including who will compete next in it, is known.
