The War Raiders are back.
During tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, Erik and Ivar made their return to the ring as the War Raiders. The duo hadn’t competed together in months. Erik had been sidelined with a neck injury since September 2023. He underwent neck fusion surgery, and he had been absent ever since. For Ivar, it was also his first match in a WWE ring since April, as he also suffering a neck injury.
The War Raiders took down Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa and Otis in a match that was the beginning of a newly announced WWE World Tag Team Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament. The tournament will see teams competing for a shot at the belts, which are currently held by The Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh and Finn Bálor. .
Update: WWE later announced two tournament matches for the October 21 episode of WWE RAW. The New Day will face the Authors of Pain, and Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee will face American Made.
