NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling Results (10/14): Multiple Title Changes

On October 14, New Japan Pro-Wrestling held their NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling event at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.

The event featured multiple title changes. Among others, KUSHIDA and Kevin Knight beat the Bullet Club War Dogs to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. Plus, Ren Narita won the NJPW World TV Championship in a three-way match, while Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Tetsuya Naito to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling Results

The results, courtesy of Fightful, are as follows:

  • Hiromu Takahashi def. Mistico. After the match, Mistico issued a challenge for a mask vs. hair match.
  •  Intergalactic Jet Setters (KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight) def. Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) (c) to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.
  • TMDK (Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) (c) def. The Rogue Army (Bad Luck Fale & Caveman Ugg) to retain the IWGP Tag Team Championships.
  • Great-O-Khan & HENARE expressed their intent to challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Championship.
  • Shingo Takagi (c) def. Ryohei Oiwa to retain the NEVER Openweight Championship.
  • Ren Narita def. Jeff Cobb (c) and Yota Tsuji to win the NJPW World TV Championship.
  • AEW’s The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) appeared on the video screen and announced that they will be NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty.
  • Hiroshi Tanahashi, El Phantasmo & Shota Umino def. House of Torture (EVIL, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi)
  • After the match, Hiroshi Tanahashi announced that he would be retiring, and his last match would be at Wrestle Kingdom 20.
  • DOUKI (c) def. SHO to retain the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
  • After the match, Yoshinobu Kanemaru attacked DOUKI until Master Wato made the save.
  • David Finlay (c) def. Hirooki Goto to retain the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.
  • Finlay challenged Yuya Uemura to face him, but Taichi accepted the challenge instead.
  • IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Zack Sabre Jr def. Tetsuya Naito (c) to win the title.
