Bobby Lashley Declares For 2024 WWE Men's Royal Rumble

Report: AEW Decided Against Debuting Bobby Lashley At AEW WrestleDream, Update On His Status

Though he did not appear at AEW WrestleDream, Bobby Lashley is still heading to AEW, according to a new report.

Bobby Lashley has seemingly been AEW-bound ever since MVP debuted at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. The buzz ramped up when Shelton Benjamin joined MVP on the October 2 episode of AEW Dynamite. Despite plenty of speculation, AEW WrestleDream came and went without an appearance from Lashley.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Bobby Lashley is still heading to AEW, as he has signed with the company.

Per Sapp, Lashley was considered for an appearance at AEW WrestleDream. However, the company decided against it. Sapp cites sources who noted that the debut likely would have led to Swerve Strickland being laid out. Sources said that this would not have worked well with Bryan Danielson, another hometown hero, being beaten at the end of the show.

The report notes that Bobby Lashley is expected to appear in the coming weeks, presumably aligned with MVP and Shelton Benjamin.

Sapp also writes that Lashley has not been seen backstage at AEW yet. He was not at AEW WrestleDream either.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
