The Rock wants you to meet your heroes.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the most popular celebrities in the world. He has seen success in the art of professional wrestling. The Great One is also a busy man in the Hollywood film industry. Recently, he shared his thoughts on the phrase, ‘Never meet your heroes.’
The Rock took to Twitter to share a message to his fans. He mentioned that, as a celebrity, he always wanted to be good to people and be grateful to his fans. The Great One also shared a couple of his experiences of meeting his heroes. He also added that meeting Boxing Legend Muhammad Ali had a huge positive impact.
“They say “Never meet your heroes”…
“But that saying always bugged the heck outta me – because I’ve always felt if you’re a “celebrity” of any caliber and you’re LUCKY enough to have some fame and influence – then be grateful for the position you’re in and be KIND and GOOD to people — ESPECIALLY OUR KIDS. Sure I’ve met some a#%holes as an adult, who I was so excited to finally meet and wound up being super disappointed- but that further cemented how I feel about fame. When I was a little boy, I finally met one of my heroes – Muhammad Ali ?- he was so sweet and kind to me. Made a MASSIVE POSITIVE impression on me that I never forgot.”
The Rock also appreciated meeting his ‘biggest fan’ Marco.
“Marco – it’s great to meet you, shake your hand and give ya a hug. Keep up the great work in school and THANK YOU big man for being my biggest fan!!! ???? ps, us big boys cry too ????,” The Rock tweeted.
