Britt Baker Comments On Her Health Status, Thanks Fans For Support

After battling a rough sickness that put her in Urgent Care, Britt Baker is on the mend.

This week on AEW Dynamite, Britt Baker was scheduled to face Willow Nightingale to determine the number one contender for Mariah May’s Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream. A sickness however sidelined Baker and removed her from the matchup.

Baker took to social media on Thursday evening in a video to reveal she was diagnosed with strep throat, stating the following:

“Hey guys, it’s Doctor Britt Baker D.M.D. I just wanted to check in and thank everybody so much for all your get-well messages. You don’t need to worry because I’m okay. I just have a strep throat. But I sound way worse than I actually feel. I feel so much better now. Two days ago, I was dying, but now we’re good. I went to Urgent Care, got tested, had strep. Took antibiotics, got an IV shot. I’m good, I’m on the mend.

Britt Baker offers a word of warning for people in the potential path of a hurricane

“But for future reference, if you are in an area that can be affected by a hurricane, stock the f*ck up. I messed up, I didn’t think I was gonna be here. I was supposed to be at Dynamite in Washington, so I was like, I’m fine. No, change of plans. I got strep throat, I’m stuck in Orlando and there was no supplies by the time I realized that. There was no gas, water, nothing. Like all the essentials gone off all the shelves.

“So stock up in advance. Don’t be a dumbass like me. Thank you to everybody who checked in and all the weirdos with your fucking conspiracy theories like, f*ck off. You’re weird.”

On behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish Britt Baker a quick and painless recovery.
