Xavier Woods To Kofi Kingston: I’m Tired Of It Always Being On Me, I Don’t Know What We’re Doing Now

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods argued backstage after a chaotic episode of Raw.

After weeks of tension between the pair, Xavier Woods had a singles title opportunity. He wrestled Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso on Raw, failing to take home the gold.

Kofi Kingston watched on as the pair were attacked by Bron Breakker after the match. Xavier Woods also refused to shake hands with Jey Uso, which caused more tension within the New Day.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods argued backstage because of the situation, in a clip posted to Twitter.

Kofi Kingston asked Xavier Woods why he refused to shake Jey Uso’s hand after their match. Additionally, he wanted to know why he didn’t help him fight off Bron Breakker.

The former King of the Ring explained that he’s tired of the responsibility falling on his shoulders, and that he felt slighted having to shake Uso’s hand and help him, even after losing to the Intercontinental Champion.

“Because I’m tired of it always being on me.” Xavier Woods explained. “Its always gonna be on me. First, I gotta go out there, I lose to Jey Uso. A match for the Intercontinental Championship. And then, I gotta get up, shake his hand and thank him for the match? On top of that, I have to go out to the ring and make sure he doesn’t get his ass kicked. When is it not on me any more, man?”

Kofi Kingston Tried To Reason With Xavier Woods

Kofi Kingston jumped in. He understood how Xavier Woods was feeling. However, he explained why he should have helped Jey Uso in his time of need.

“I know that you’re upset. I know it was a big match, a big opportunity. You’ve been waiting for that chance for a very long time. But Jey Uso is your friend. You’re just gonna let Bron come out and have his way with him, because he’s upset. Do you understand that, if the shoe was on the other foot, that Jey would be one of the first to come out and help you?”

An exasperated Xavier Woods reminded his partner that he was supposed to be making the decisions for the group now. However, he didn’t feel like that had been honored by Kofi Kingston.

“Yeah. But I also remember you saying that I was the QB. I call the play and you run it, but that just hasn’t been happening so far, has it? I don’t know what we’re doing now, Kofi.”
