Jake Roberts is confident that he will be back on AEW television at some point soon.
In March, Roberts, 69, revealed that he re-signed with AEW. However, he has rarely been utilized on television in recent months.
Speaking on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Jake Roberts was asked whether he thought fans would see him back in AEW soon.
“Oh yeah, yeah,” Roberts said, while he also noted that he wasn’t doing much at the moment, and the company had a loaded roster.
Roberts was also asked to provide an update on his health. He noted that he was feeling pretty good.
“I feel pretty good,” he said. “I’m having to occasionally go on oxygen. I’m 69 years old, and if somebody would have told me that I would love to 69, I’d have laughed at them because I’ve been pretty rough on myself, and I really abused my body, my soul, and my mind. But I’ve been sober now for 12 years. Nothing, no drugs, no alcohol, and just trying to enjoy life, and I’m doing it.”
