A new report provides an update on Keith Lee, who has not wrestled in over nine months.
Keith Lee has been out of action since December 2023. He last wrestled on the December 23 episode of AEW Collision, where he beat Brian Cage. Lee was set to face Swerve Strickland at AEW Worlds End. However, he was unable to compete, and he has been sidelined ever since.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Keith Lee still is not ready to return to the ring. Sapp writes that Lee has not been cleared for a return to action due to an “undisclosed medical issue.”
The report notes that Lee has not been a regular at TV tapings in quite some time, and he hasn’t been factored in creatively. Per Sapp, Lee remains on the AEW roster, and he is still under contract.
Lee signed with AEW and debuted in February 2022 following his WWE release the previous November. He went on to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Swerve Strickland, but Strickland later turned on Lee.
