AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 10/2, Demo Also Drops

AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on October 2.

According to Wrestlenomics, 680,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and drew a 0.20 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode when 702,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.23 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Will Ospreay defeating Ricochet via disqualification to retain the AEW International Championship. Konosuke Takeshita interfered in the matchup and there will now be a three-way for the title at WrestleDream.

Britt Baker defeated Serena Deeb in her AEW Dynamite return in her hometown of Pittsburgh.

MVP introduced Shelton Benjamin as the newest member of his group. This didn’t sit well with Prince Nana.

The main event saw Bryan Danielson defeat Kazuchika OKada to retain the AEW World Championship. BCC attacked Danielson after the match, but Wheeler Yuta made the save to close the show.
