The CW Boasts Largest Viewership Total For WWE NXT Since October 2023

NXT‘s debut on The CW resulted in big numbers.

The CW and WWE issued a new press release detailing some of the viewership figures for the October 1 episode of NXT. This week’s show was not only the highest total number of viewers for NXT since October 2023, but it was also a 44% boost from last week’s episode (which aired on USA Network).

In addition, NXT’s debut resulted in the highest total viewers on the network for all of 2024 for adults 25-54 (406,000) and 18-49 (354,000). The CW also touted viewership boosts of more than 100% for CW Affiliate channels in the New York (WPIX-TV), Los Angeles (KTLA-TV), Dallas (KDAF-TV) and Detroit (WKBD-TV) markets compared to last Tuesday’s primetime programming.

The CW Network and WWE announced a five-year agreement in November 2023 that would bring NXT to broadcast television.

This week’s show featured Trick Williams defeating Ethan Page for the NXT Championship, CM Punk as the special guest referee, and Roxanne Perez defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia, along with a return by Cora Jade and tease of a new competitor.

NXT returns on Tuesday, October 8 at 8:00 EST with an episode taking place in St. Louis. That show will feature a guest appearance by WWE Superstar Randy Orton.
