Xavier Woods picked up a tainted win against WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on the September 30 episode of WWE RAW.
Woods and Mysterio had a heated confrontation on the September 23 episode, as Woods blamed the LWO for the New Day’s loss to the Judgment Day. Mysterio then faced Woods in a singles match on the September 30 episode of WWE RAW.
Woods and Mysterio battled back and forth, and in the closing moments, Woods accidentally ripped the legend’s mask off. He then capitalized by rolling him up for the win.
Backstage, Kofi Kingston asked Xavier Woods whether he did that on purpose, and he said he would never do that. Kingston then said that Jey uso gave him a chance to challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the October 7 episode of WWE RAW, but he told him Woods deserved it instead. Woods expressed his excitement and said that he could beat Uso and win the gold.
