Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider) reports that SmackDown drew 1.568 million viewers on Friday. This number is up from last week, when an average of 1.494 million viewers
In the 18 to 49 demographic, WWE SmackDown scored a 0.45 rating, which is the same as last week’s rating (0.45).
SmackDown ranked #2 in the demographic among cable originals on Friday. It was only behind the Virginia Tech vs. Miami college football game on ESPN. SmackDown was also up against the game between Washington and Rutgers, which drew 1,929,000 total viewers and a 0.38 rating, .
This Week’s Episode Of WWE SmackDown
The September 27 episode of WWE SmackDown kicked off with a promo from Randy Orton, who called out Cody Rhodes. They were joined by Kevin Owens and interrupted by The Bloodline. In the main event, Orton and Owens faced The Bloodline.
Elsewhere on the show, Andrade battled Carmelo Hayes, and Naomi faced Bayley in a Number One Contender’s Match. Plus, Michin faced Piper Niven.
