Layla Would Love LayCool Hall of Fame Induction, but Is Okay If It Doesn’t Happen

Layla would love to see LayCool inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. She will manage if it doesn’t ultimately happen.

The former WWE Divas Champion has seldom been seen in the wrestling world since her retirement in 2015. The peak of her career arguably came during her tag team with Michelle McCool, when they were collectively known as “LayCool“.

They spend nearly two years together. Layla and Michelle McCool famously helped the WWE Women’s Championship at the same time.

Layla recently appeared on the They Made Their Way to the Ring podcast. She was asked about her view of LayCool going into the WWE Hall of Fame.

While Layla said she would love to be honored in that way, she understood if the duo weren’t. She noted there were so many wrestlers who haven’t been inducted yet who should have been.

“Of course, it would be a stamp of approval for my career or that my career was significant in WWE” Layla said. (H/T Fightful) “I’m okay, and I’m trying to say this in a politically correct way because I don’t want to offend anybody. I’m okay if I don’t get inducted into the Hall of Fame. I feel there are many wrestlers that should be that haven’t been.”

“If that isn’t for me, I totally understand that. I’m okay walking away and saying I have a great WWE career, I was able to see everything I saw, and have the life experiences that I had. I’m okay with it. Of course, I would love it. I would love to be inducted with Michelle. I feel that was the most significant and highest point of my WWE career. And I would love for LayCool to be inducted. If it doesn’t happen, I’m okay with that.”
