Powerhouse Hobbs has been cleared to return to the ring, according to a new report.
AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs has been sidelined in recent months. He suffered a knee injury in his match against Jon Moxley on the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite. Hobbs then underwent surgery, and he has been recovering ever since.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Hobbs was cleared to return to the ring in the last few weeks. Per Sapp, the former TNT Champion has been backstage at recent tapings. The report cites sources who note that Hobbs had undergone extensive in-ring testing ahead of being cleared, which has become the standard in AEW. Additionally, Sapp writes that Hobbs is awaiting creative plans.
As of this writing, there is no word on when Powerhouse Hobbs will return to the ring. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
