Hazuki Comments On Devastating Wonder Of Stardom Title Match Loss

Hazuki has not been the same following her sixth unsuccessful challenge for the Wonder of Stardom Championship.

She competed for the prestigious white belt against the reigning champion Natsupoi at STARDOM‘s recent Namba Grand Fight event this past September 14. Unfortunately for the “Wildheart” of STARS, Natsupoi got the better of a fast-paced roll-up pinfall sequence to retain her title. After the match, Hazuki refused to shake the champion’s hand and exited the ring with her head held down. Since then, Hazuki has competed in tag matches with her STARS teammates and participated in fan meets despite her blatantly depressed demeanor.

Hazuki recently spoke with Tokyo Sports to share her thoughts on the heartbreaking loss. She mentioned feeling devastated as she put excessive amounts of pressure on herself seeing as this was her sixth challenge for the title in her career.

Fortunately, her fellow STARS faction members, especially Koguma, served as Hazuki’s support system throughout this tough time. She says that EXV leader and 5 Star Grand Prix 2024 winner Maika also provided her comfort during the Niigata show on the 23rd. However, in spite of her allies’ supportive comments, Hazuki is unsure of what her future in STARDOM holds for her.

“To be honest, I was starting to hate wrestling, and even when I was competing, I was thinking a lot about whether I was needed or not, or whether I should change my environment or not,” she says. Regardless, she believes that the future remains bright for her as she posted on her Twitter.

Her first challenge for the Wonder of Stardom belt was back in 2016 against then champion Kairi Hojo (now Kairi Sane in WWE).
