WWE SummerSlam 2025

Cardi B Announces WWE SummerSlam 2025 Will Take Place At MetLife Stadium Over Two Nights

WWE SummerSlam just got even bigger.

Cardi B helped WWE announce that SummerSlam will be a two-night event in 2025. The show will take place on August 2 and 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Cardi B and Bianca Belair were featured in the initial announcement video, seen below. Cardi B also provided “Up” as the SummerSlam 2021 theme song.

More details on SummerSlam 2025

WWE is hosting the 2025 event in conjunction with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA).

“New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and the entire NJSEA team have been phenomenal partners, hosting several major UFC events in recent years including the record-breaking UFC 302 in June,” Peter Dropick, TKO Executive Vice President of Event Development and Operations, said in a press release. “We’re excited to bring WWE back to New Jersey in a major way with the first-ever two-night SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium.”

This is the fourth time SummerSlam will take place in East Rutherford. However, it’s the first time the show will be at MetLife Stadium, which hosted WrestleMania 29 and 35. SummerSlam 1989 took place at the Brendan Byrne Arena (later renamed the Continental Airlines Arena). The 1997 and 2007 events were at the same venue.

Fans can register now for an exclusive presale offer by visiting the WWE website.

The future of SummerSlam

SummerSlam looks to be a two-night event for several years to come. WWE is calling the 2025 event the first two-night SummerSlam. That is true, but it’s not the first two-night SummerSlam to be announced.

In May, WWE announced that Minneapolis will host SummerSlam 2026 on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings.

Indianapolis will host a future SummerSlam event. Indianapolis’ SummerSlam was part of a multi-event deal that will see the city host a future WrestleMania, and the 2025 Royal Rumble.
