Vince McMahon had some odd storylines in his time, but one idea with Stephanie McMahon took it a bit too far.
The disgraced former WWE Chairman is the subject of a Netflix documentary, titled Mr McMahon. The six-part series delves into the life of Vince McMahon, as well as the history of the WWE as a whole.
The production interviewed Vince McMahon himself, as well as numerous figures from the world of wrestling. This includes his family members Shane, Stephanie and Linda McMahon, as well as legends like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and many more.
Speaking on the Mr McMahon documentary on Netflix (H/T to Fightful for the transcription), Stephanie McMahon was asked if her father pitched any storylines that got rejected. She revealed that there were, but refused to divulge any details. “Yes. There were a couple. I’m not going to tell the one,” she said.
Luckily, Vince McMahon was ready to spill the beans. The former WWE Chairman revealed that he had an idea for an angle where his daughter falls pregnant. His genius idea was to reveal the father as none other than Vince McMahon himself.
Naturally, that one was shelved, and thankfully never made it to TV, although I’m not sure if the perception of McMahon could get worse.
“One of my storyline ideas was that Stephanie gets pregnant.” Vince McMahon claimed on the Netflix documentary. “I was the one who impregnated her. My character. I think it was something like that. It was like, ‘No.’ That one didn’t make it,” The former Chairman added.
It has been said that after it was rejected, Vince McMahon pitched for Shane McMahon to be the father instead. This seeming obsession with incest was rightly shot down, and thankfully never made it to their nationally televised wrestling program.
