Toni Storm is set to team up with Mina Shirakawa in Japan on Saturday.
The “Timeless” wrestler has not been seen in AEW since losing her AEW Women’s Championship at AEW All In. Toni Storm lost to her former protégée Mariah May, in the culmination of one of AEW’s most heated feuds ever.
Since losing to Mariah May, Toni Storm has been absent from our TV screens. However, she is set to return to the ring soon, with a trip to Japan planned for the weekend.
The former AEW Women’s Champion appeared in Stardom last week, challenging Mayu Iwatani For The IWGP Women’s Championship. That match has been booked STARDOM’s Nagoya Golden Fight show on October 5, and would have been Toni Storm’s first match in Stardom since 2019. However, she has also been booked to wrestle in a tag team match this weekend.
STARDOM noted on Twitter that Toni Storm will wrestle on Saturday in Japan, as a warm-up to her title shot. The former AEW Women’s Champion will wrestle at STARDOM’s Korakuen Hall show this Saturday. She is set to team wtih Mina Shirakawa, whom she formed a friendship with in AEW through Mariah May.
The pair will team up to take on Mayu Iwatani & AZM in a star-studded match for Stardom. The pair previously wrestled each other at Forbidden Door.
