WWE Bad Blood will deliver a star-studded card, and a new report provides an update on which match will close the show.
The event will be held at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This led many to assume that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes would headline the show.
However, there has been some confusion about the situation. USA Network published an article which suggested that the Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre would be the main event. Given the star power, this would make sense as well. Punk and McIntyre have been feuding for months, and this will likely be the blowoff.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, as of the time that Rhodes and Roman Reigns filed their segment at Georgia Tech, the internal plan was for their match against The Bloodline to close the premium live event. Rhodes is from the area, and Sapp also writes that Reigns’ connection to the area as a former Georgia Tech football star was also a factor. Reigns was named First-Team All-ACC during his time there.
As always, plans can change, but the buzzworthy tag team match is currently set to go on last.
WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE Bad Blood as it airs on October 5.
