Jake Roberts is skeptical about how much truth will be in the Vince McMahon docuseries.
Vince McMahon will be the subject of the “Mr. McMahon” docuseries on Netflix. The premiere comes months after Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, alleging sexual assault and sex trafficking. McMahon denied the allegations but resigned from WWE and TKO. The interviews for the docuseries were recorded in 2022, before the allegations against McMahon were made public.
WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts commented on the docuseries when it came up during a virtual signing with Signed By Superstars. When asked whether he would watch it, he noted that he might, depending on how much truth was involved. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the transcription)
“Possibly,” he said. “I’m gonna wait and find out how much truth’s involved first…[Host stated that the series could be ‘a lot of bullshit.’] Which is what I expect.”
Mandy Rose Is Nervous To Watch Docuseries
Mandy Rose has a different perspective, as she noted that she was excited and a little nervous about the docuseries She shared her thoughts while speaking with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes.
“I do plan on watching that. Yes, for sure,” Mandy Rose said. “I know a few of my friends actually have messaged me it thinking that I know things and all these, you know what I mean? I’m like, oh, I know. I’m excited to see it.
“But I am excited to see that because, excited and a little nervous, not going to lie. They’re saying that they really are putting everything out there, so it’s going to be interesting and it’s kind of wild. I don’t know, especially with everything the past few years.”
