Report: Mick Foley Under Legends Deal With WWE

Mick Foley is under contract with WWE, according to a new report.

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently sparked some controversy with his comments about the allegations against Vince McMahon, saying that he was choosing to appreciate McMahon until he learned more about what “may have gone down.”

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that sources indicated that Foley had re-signed a Legends Deal with WWE at some point.

Per Sapp, Foley will still be included on merchandise, video games, action figures, and so on, per the terms of the deal.

Foley previously noted that he had opted not to return to the ring for a farewell match after he had said that he wanted to do so.

Mick Foley On Plans For Facing MJF

Had Mick Foley gone through with his return to the ring, he had plans for a potential match against MJF. Speaking at Nickel City Comic-Con via Fandom Spotlite, Foley revealed that they had six weeks of TV thought out. (H/T to Andrew Thompson/Post Wrestling)

“Man, when I was thinking of having that last match, I’ll tell you what, when I announced that intention, there were no shortage of people from every promotion reaching out to me and one guy I probably would have gone with because he’d clearly done some thinking about it and lined out six great weeks of TV was MJF.” Mick Foley said.

“We didn’t take a photo together because we didn’t wanna ruin the secret meeting but, I heard what he had to say, I really liked it. I had no doubt that he would have pulled it off perfectly and you know, he’s so good and in his prime that he could have worked around my weaknesses and played to my strengths and I think we could have done something pretty cool. MJF. Final answer. Take that, Matt Cardona.”
