AEW Collision Results – September 21, 2024

This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with the Bunkhouse Brawl for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles.

Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara defeated Undisputed Era in a Bunkhouse Brawl to retain the ROH World Tag Team Titles

  • Sammy Guevara hits a Swanton Bomb off a ladder onto Mike Bennett to score the pinfall victory for his team.

The Premier Athletes are backstage with The Conglomeration ahead of their match tonight. Mark Briscoe informs the Premier Athletes that they will have Rocky Romero watching their back tonight in the trio’s matchup.

A brief vignette plays to reveal that Britt Baker will make her AEW return at the Dynamite 5th anniversary show in Pittsburgh.

Evil Uno and Alex Reynolds are backstage. Darby Allin approaches Uno and tells him they aren’t having a match, they’re having a fight. Allin says there is a war coming, and Jon Moxley thinks they are all jokes. Allin says he’s not going to lay down and die, he’s going to be the next AEW World Champion. Darby tells Uno to remind him of what he can do and says he’s been on cruise control for far too long. Allin says this isn’t a joke anymore.

Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly, and Hologram (w/ Rocky Romero) defeated The Premier Athletes (w/ Smart Mark Sterling)

  • Mark Briscoe hits Josh Woods with the Jay Driller to score the pinfall victory for his team.

MxM Collection announced they will reveal what they’ve done to Max Caster’s jacket next weekend of the Grand Slam edition of AEW Collision.

Mariah May in action on AEW Collision

AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May defeated Lady Frost in a non-title match

  • Mariah May hits Storm Zero on Lady Frost to score the pinfall victory.

A video package plays, hyping the match between Mariah May and Yuka Sakazaki at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

Willow Nightingale is backstage. Willow says she’s still in a lot of pain but she’s happy she doesn’t have to deal with Stokely Hathaway anymore. Nightingale says she is pulling for Yuka at Grand Slam. Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie come in and offers Yuka protection for her match on Dynamite. Nightingale and Valkyrie get into it and set up a match for Rampage next week.

A video package plays, hyping the ongoing story between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley.

Darby Allin defeated Evil Uno (w/ Alex Reynolds)

  • Darby Allin hits Evil Uno with the Coffin Drop to score the pinfall victory.

They aired a segment with Jeff Jarrett, Renee Paquette, and Karen Jarrett that took place after Dynamite. Jarrett challenges Hangman Page to a Lumberjack Strap match this Wednesday night at Dynamite Grand Slam.

Serena Deeb defeated Queen Aminata

  • Serena Deeb hits Queen Aminata with Detox to score the pinfall victory.

Saraya and Harley Cameron are backstage. Saraya says the Saraya’s Rules match has been in her family for generations. Harley Cameron runs down the rules which basically is a match where all the rules apply to Jamie Hayter and not to Saraya. You can hear the rules for yourself in the embedded video below.

Sammy Guevara challenges Kazuchika Okada

Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara are backstage. Dustin says Sammy is one of the best partners he’s ever had. Guevara says it means a lot to him to be teaming with Dustin and he inspires him and wants to be Sammy Two Belts as well. Guevara challenges Kazuchika Okada to an Eliminator match at Grand Slam and if he wins he gets a title shot on the 5th anniversary of Dynamite.

Roderick Strong, The Beast Mortos, RUSH, and Grizzled Young Veterans defeated HOOK, FTR, and The Outrunners

  • RUSH hits Dax Harwood with The Horns to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Serena Deeb is backstage and challenges Britt Baker to a match at the 5-year anniversary of AEW Dynamite on October 2.

Nigel McGuinness calls out Bryan Danielson one more time on AEW Collision

Nigel McGuinness comes out on the stage and says Bryan Danielson has refused to answer his challenge and calls him pathetic. McGuinness says Danielson is hiding behind a fake injury when in reality Bryan fears Nigel. McGuinness says if he won’t do it for him or himself or his family, he should do it for the fans.

Nigel says while the fans cheer Danielson, they identify with him. Tony Schiavone interrupts and says he sees what Nigel is trying to do to Bryan Danielson. Schiavone says Nigel’s claims are ridiculous and he’s not afraid of him. Schiavone says if Danielson was cleared he would accept this match.

Tony Schiavone says Bryan Danielson is the greatest professional wrestler he’s ever called in his career. Nigel says Tony is the luckiest son of a bitch in the world because if anyone else said that to him he would knock them out. Nigel tells Schiavone to sit down and shut his mouth.

McGuinness says he doesn’t care who Danielson does it for, he wants him to walk down the ramp and meet him in the middle of the ring for the final chapter of their rivalry. McGuinness says it’s his destiny. Nigel says he’s been saying since he retired that he was as good as Danielson but nobody listened or believed him.

Will Bryan Danielson compete at Grand Slam?

Nigel says there are only two people on this planet who know he’s telling the truth, the two of them. McGuinness says if Danielson shows up at Grand Slam he will destroy him and finally have vindication. McGuinness says if Danielson doesn’t show up he’ll still be vindicated because the crowd will know why. Nigel says if there is a God in Heaven, Danielson will show up on Wednesday to face him. Nigel stares menacingly at the camera as AEW Collision goes off the air.
