AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 9/18, Demo Rises

AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on September 18.

According to Wrestlenomics, 687,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and drew a 0.22 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode when 716,000 viewers tuned in. The demo rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.21 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Orange Cassidy defeating Chris Jericho.

Ricochet picked up another victory by defeating The Beast Mortos. Backstage Ricochet informed Will Ospreay they will face each other for the International Championship on the 5-year anniversary of AEW Dynamite.

Yuka Sakazaki and Queen Aminata defeated Mariah May and Serena Deeb via disqualification when May hit Sakazaki with her title. May will defend her title against Sakazaki next week at Grand Slam.

The main event of the show saw Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita defeat The Elite in a trios matchup. Ospreay and Fletcher will challenge the Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Titles at Grand Slam next week.
